I've bought several used from craigslist and bought some new or seconds from clearance sales online but I don't have enough to last for 2 days worth and am trying to win the rest of my stash (also hoping to get some from my baby shower).
Thanks for what you're doing!Saphhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18098631205259354928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-21778311295815652632011-01-11T18:49:28.895-09:002011-01-11T18:49:28.895-09:00I recently switched to cloth for my 10-month old d...I recently switched to cloth for my 10-month old daughter. I got a diaper loan until I can build my own stash from the cloth diaper foundation but have to send those back (per the agreement). I am enjoying the cd experience and am surprised at the ease of use! We have been snowed in the past few days and I've even been using prefolds! (I thought I would never do that!) I would like to win this diaper because I am building up my stash and plan on donating all the cloth diapers that I get once my daughter is potty trained. I lost a daughter 3 years ago, have a 2 year old son and now my youngest daughter is our last. No more babies for us. So my cd will only be used by one baby so I would like to pass on the gift that I have been given!
Mindy Hart
mindyclux10@comcast.netAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09373337754798525274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-27726737264146227572011-01-11T18:47:11.218-09:002011-01-11T18:47:11.218-09:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09373337754798525274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-46044777450071214342011-01-11T16:23:49.112-09:002011-01-11T16:23:49.112-09:00We started late in the game with my second born. ...We started late in the game with my second born. I started making the switch over to fluff when he was 8 months old, and have been using cloth of and on ever sense. I started using cloth to not only help the environment, but for the cost and comfort on my little man's heiny. Like I stated earlier, we just made the switch, so I need more diaps to add to the collection so we can finally go cloth 100% of the time. It's a Full Househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10015277018811638297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-91729369276197105812011-01-11T15:07:19.297-09:002011-01-11T15:07:19.297-09:00I would love to start cloth diapering with our 4-m...I would love to start cloth diapering with our 4-month old daughter because disposables are simply becoming unaffordable for us as I am a SAHM and my husband is in school & working part-time (just came off of Active Duty with the Army & trying to finish a degree started years ago). That being said, cloth diapers are also expensive to start up with, especially not knowing which brand will work best. Being able to try some out before making a commitment would be great & such a blessing! I am so looking forward to the many benefits that Cloth has to offer!Whitney J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16351474331637446014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-31821912336861217992011-01-11T05:51:33.706-09:002011-01-11T05:51:33.706-09:00i have heard such good things about cloth diapers,...i have heard such good things about cloth diapers, and we really want to try them out. we are starting to collect diff brands to try when the baby comes!

julieb82@gmail.comjuliebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03450989253995530133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1757933885508927791.post-2617429350804518392011-01-08T21:48:11.451-09:002011-01-08T21:48:11.451-09:00We've been using cloth nappies on our 3 month ...We've been using cloth nappies on our 3 month old little girl since the day she was born. Her Dad has very sensative skin so we planned on it from the start. We used prefolds (until she outgrew them - now they're sewn together to form change pads) while building up a small collection of cheap ('not-right') nappies from daily deal sites. We have enough if I do her laundry at least once a day, but it's tight.

My partner doesn't have a work visa (we're spending a lot on lawyers and immigration things trying to work it all out) and I'm unable to work due to disability. The three of us are getting by on a few hundred a month from the Government for me (since he doesn't count for it). It's embarassing, but it's what we have to do until he's allowed to work. We're getting in debt and it sucks.

I hate putting my 'poor-me' story out there, but I know that we could really use a bit of help with this. We decided me being home for the first year was important and to help survive financially we started using cloth. Unfortuneatly my stash of 12 pocket one size dipes dwindled down to 6 when the PUL separated. I started back to work a couple months ago but really from a financial perspective I should have gone back about a year ago. We are having to buy sposies to supplement our cloth. We can't afford it but there is no alternative. We don't regret me staying home, its just been difficult to get back on our feet. A diaper would help relieve some strain on the pocketbook.
Kathie
Wizkathome @ gmail . We have a very small stash where most of it are "seconds" or bought used online. I am trying to build a bigger stash for my son to go a few days with out worrying about laundry or if he has enough diapers. I am addicted to cloth and this has been what I have been doing for a few months now, spending my free time researching. =] Being a stay at home mom now, its really hard to find the finances to buy whatever diaper I want any any given time as well. She has also outgrown the contours I was loaned. We have two covers, given as Christmas gifts, that I try to use with two contours to make sure she's covered. I'm trying to figure out how to use receiving blankets and other things as diapers but it doesn't seem to work size-wise. I don't mind the daily laundry and I'd like to continue cloth diapering but cannot afford to right now.

We've recently had some financial setbacks and are currently falling behind on our bills. We are doing everything we can not to accrue more debt. Needless to say, nothing is being bought. We are even living off of pantry staples until those run out. I can do them, while I'm home, but when my son goes to daycare or home with daddy (I work full time) they prefer AIO or disposables.
